Variable Row Height in Catalog Mail Merge - Word 2003

Hello All,

I currently have a "Catalog" mail merge set up in Word
2003 to merge records from one datasource (A Word document
containing a single table with data) into a main document
containing a 1 row table with the merge fields inserted
accordingly in the cells.  This works fine, however all
the rows are the same height when they don't necessarily
need to be.  For example, if a cell in one row (beginning,
middle, or end) results in three lines worth of data, all
rows in the Catalog merge will have the height of the
tallest row, even if the other rows don't need to be that
high.  This results in a lot of unnecessary spacing in the
end result document.

I've tried playing with the row height options to no
avail.  What options do I need to set so that each of the
rows in my Catalog merge has a variable height based on
the actual contents of the cells in that specific row?
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

I do not get that behaviour without doing anything in the Table>Properties
dialog to the table in the mailmerge main document.  On the Row tab of that
dialog, the "Specify Height" is unchecked.
