New job! Company mailmerge template includes logos, addresses etc as
headers/footers which are already present on the preprinted stock. How do I
print mailmerged documents on preprinted letterhead without overprinting? Is
it possible to suppress headers and footers during the print process or must
I alter the template and remerge everything? It's a large mailmerge (already
completed) so reworking it is NOT my first option - and many others use the
system, though not in this way. Company guru on subject no longer available!

Hi Sue,

Ordinarily, one would use a template without the logos etc for use with
pre-printed stationery.

For your existing merged document, you might be able to simply open the
header and delete its content. If the document's headers for the second and
subsequent sections are set to 'same as previous' you'll only have to do the
deletion on the first section.

Cheers

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be that simple -
I've already tried!

If there is no way of suppressing during printing then maybe I'll have to
write a macro to alter each letter, as a work-around. (Followed by a review
of the template!)

There is no way to suppress the header/footer.  The simplest thing would be
to go back to the mailmerge main document and make the modifications to it.
That is a simple operation and executing the merge is a "no brainer"

Or print it on plain paper.

When trying to "delete" the pre printed stationery included in my MS Office
Outlook 2003, when highlighting on a selection, neither the "Edit" nor the
"Remove" buttons are available to select.  Only the "New" button is
available.  How do I get the "Remove" button to be available so that I can
"delete" the selections in order to replace them with other stationery of my
choosing?  Thanks.

I would suggest that you ask this question in an Outlook newsgroup
