I've setup a mailmerge form letter.  One of the merge
fields I'm adding to the document needs to be displayed as
a barcode field.  This field is a simple character field
that contains a control number.

I have a fairly basic knowledge of inserting merge fields
into a form letter, so I'm having some trouble figuring
out how to accomplish this.  I am using Word 2000.

Can anybody offer some guidance?

The only kind of barcode Word supports is US-postal barcodes.
For anything else, you need to format the information with a
barcode font. Try searching the Internet for such fonts...
