I am trying to create an online form that I can send out by email that will
contain contact data from our office database and allow the recipient to
electronically enter updated contact information.  So I created a form
template, with form fields as well as mail merge fields.  However, after I
merge the data from my datasource into the merge fields, the form fields
revert to unshaded text "°°°°°."  I tried protecting the form before merging,
but that prevents any data from being merged.  I skimmed the help section for
the Ask and FillIn features which I've never used, but it seemed like there
should be a simple way of preventing mail merge from removing the form fields.

Thank you for your assistance, Ryan
