Hi there. Tricky one this: I am merging a Word 2000 document with a data
source. The fields placed on the body of the first page merge fine. So do the
mergefields placed in the header or footer. Sometimes, after the merge has
taken place, text must be added which could make the final document 2 or 3
pages long. If so, the header of the second and subsequent pages MUST contain
a couple of mergefields that exist on page one. So, in the source document, I
place a mergefield in the header of the second page then reduce the document
back down to one page. (I have to reduce it down to one page). Once I have
merged this document, I then add lots of text to the document. BUT, if the
document now becomes 2 or more pages long, the page 2 header just displays
the mergefield, not the merged data. I'm in a tight corner with this one -
any help gratefully appreciated!!!
Thanks

Hi =?Utf-8?B?SmFtZXMgU3BlbmNlcg==?=,

Best would probably be to format the merge fields you want to see in the
header/footer with a particular style, and display the information in the
header/footer using a StyleRef field.
