I have an excel data source.  some fields are empty, some have numbers.
column is formatted for text only.  when I merge the into word main document,
the empty field now has a value of zero (0).  this only happens on some
columns, but not all even though they are formatted same. Have tried
stripping to text only into word, reimporting back into excel, changing
fonts, etc.  nothing works.  anyone else having same problems or have
solutions.  tks

Add the following formatting switch to the mergefields in Word inside the
closing } after you toggle on the display of field codes with Alt+F9

\# "#;-#;"
