I'm downloading a data base in word merge (rtf) and need to import info to USPS in xls form. How do I convert rtf to xls in order to do this. A step by step by step would be very much appreciated. Many thanks. Silky Silver silky@att.net it probably depends on exactly what format the data is in within the .rtf file. Assuming it is stored as a single Word table, then I suggest you try the following first: a. open the .rtf file in Word b. Edit|Select All (or ctrl-A c. open a blank spreadsheet in Excel d. in Excel, Edit|Paste.
