Problem merging to labels - repeating data

I'm trying to merge address labels from an Excel list, but when I view
or merge the data I get records 1-16 on page 1, 2-17 on page 2, 3-18
on page 3 etc.

I'm using XP SR2 & Office XP SP3.

Anybody any ideas what the problem might be?

It sounds as though you are not completing the merge, but viewing the merge
source document. Merge to a new document or the printer.

Thanks for your reply - I did merge to a new document & got 81 pages -
there are 81 records in the list.

I noticed than in each label the "Propogate" command had inserted a
"Next Record" field before the first line - could this be anything to
do with it?

A label merge should have a Next Record field in each label except the
first. This is what tells the merge to select the next record for the
following label. Frankly it is difficult to see why you have 81 pages for 81
records. You should have 81 divided by the number of labels on the page. It
might be a plan to check out your method with the following tutorial:
