Thanks for the web link however it did not change the effects of the labels
when using the Propagate labels button on the mail merge toolbar. it gives
the same effect as the update all labels button in the mail merge wizard step
4. can anyone tell if mail merge had this problem before sp1 for office and
sp2 for windows?

Are you saying that the labels in the middle are blank? That there is no
<<Next Record>> field before the first Mergefield in each of them? What
actually do you mean by "update"?
Send me a "faulty" mailmerge main document if you wish (after de-spamming my
email address)

the next record is there in each of the labels, it is when you click the
buttons mentioned before that the rest of the fields IE "address block"
"phone" ect. do not appear in the labels.

Hi =?Utf-8?B?RmlzdGFu?=,
We've been seeing similar problem reports for Tablet PCs the last couple of
days. Are you using a Tablet PC?

Hi Fistan,
OK, I get the same behaviour on a Compaq TC1000. Way round it of course is
to select the mergefields for a cell in which they do appear, copy them to
the clipboard and then paste them into each of the cells from which they are
missing.
