Mailmerge newbie

Hi All,
I have composed a letter for Club Members, I have also created an Access
database of thier names and addresses, however I am completely flummoxed by
the Word 97 Office Assistant.
Does anyone please know of a tutorial that will help me.

Office Asssitant? You mean "Einstein" or the "Paperclip" or something like
that? I'd almost forgotten they exist; I turned them off early on, so I have
no idea what kind of prompts the Office Assistant is giving you?

My advice would be to ignore it, and just go over Tools/Mail Merge. this
article might help you over the rough spots:
