I ran a merge to printer in Word 2003 and Word 97.  The time it took fo
Word 2003 to complete the merge was about 20 minutes slower than Wor
97.  Does anyone know why this is true and how can I make Word 200
merge faster

Word 2003 does tend to be slower, but:

1. Is this the same merge as used in Word 97, or a new merge document with
the same data source?

2. what's the data source program?
