For some reason after I insert an If then Else statement in a Word XP
document, it starts paginating thousands of pages.  It only stops when I hit
Alt-F9 and it displays the IF/Then/Else fields. This has never happened
before?

Help!

Sounds like the document structure has been damaged. Try copying and pasting
everything EXCEPT the last paragraph mark into a new document. Set the
Pagesetup settings, header, footer and link back up to the data source.
