Merge fields are printed instead of my data, I already had the field code
cleared. so it is not that. I use the wizard to make the datebase so that
should be ok. Now what do I do??? Can anyone help?

You need to execute the merge to either a new document or the printer.  If
you are using XP or later, I would suggest that you turn on the mailmerge
toolbar (View>Toolbars).  You will find buttons on the right hand end of the
toolbar for merging to the different destinations.
