I am using office 2002 and I am having difficulty with mail merge my data
base is okay and I check that the fields are all correct, but when I merge
the fields: City, County and Post Code all come out on one line.

Sounds like you must be using the Address Block, not that I know anything
about it because I have never used it.  Instead of using it, insert the
actual mergefields that you want in the configuration that you want.
