The tools drop down menu is not available on my Word 2000

I have Word 2000 pre-installed on my machine, I do not have the Tools drop
down menu available so cannot use mail merge, is there a download that I can
get to repair my programme?

Anne,

First right click any menu and click customize. Click the commands tab and
scroll down and click the built in menus in the categories window. In in
the right hand window, click drag and drop the tools menu on your toolbar.
