Tip: Looking for answers? Try searching our database.

Word should allow me to change the default folder for data files.

I created a mail merge letter template for use in a networked office. The
template and the data file are saved on the server.

Whenever I open the letter template the data file is associated with the
template, but when all other users try to open the template they get the
following error.

"This operation cannot be completed because of dialog or database engine
failures. Please try again later."

When they click OK a dialog box opens to display My Data Sources, and they
have to go find the data file on the server. Then it works fine. Strangely
they always get this error when they open the template.
