how do i add decimals, i.e. zeros, to numbers i mailmerge in word from excel
spreadsheets.

for example on excel i have the # $700.00
but when i mail merge the data into a word template
i get $700

so i don't get the .00

how do i solve this problem?

How do you have the excel cell/column formated.  I tryed both currency as
well as accounting formats and both carried over.

Whether or not the formatting will carry will be determined by the Word
version and how it is connnected to the data file. With Word 2002/3, the
default is for Word to provide the formatting.
