At least have the old way of doing it as an option on the updated Word
Software. The Wizard only adds problems...and is frankly, pretty useless.

Look at my post which follows yours and see if you can help me with my
questions. I use to use the mail merge years ago but I can figure it out
in Word XP?

Best thing to do is select Toolbars from the View menu and then check the
Mailmerge toolbar item. That gives you all of the functionality that you
need to create and execute mailmerges.
Alternatively, if you select Customize from the tools menu and then on the
Customize tab of the dialog, select the All Commands category and then
scroll down through the list of commands, you will find the Mail Merge
Helper item, you can click and drag this onto a menu or toolbar and then you
will be able to use the old method that you are used to.

If you don't like the wizard, don't use it - see
