I want to create a set of forms for say a divorce so that where I know, for
instance, that the clients address shows up in several of the forms, I'd
like to be able to type the address once and have it automatically show in
all the places it is to show in all three of the forms.

I create the three forms in one document, each separated by a page break
so that they print out as though three separate forms.

What I can't figure is how to insert identical information over the
three forms by having to type only once.

Can you help?  Is this mail merging?

Scott in Austin MN Thank you!

If this is a mail merge, create the merge form letter as the complete
document and insert the name fields wherever they occur.

If this is a form, then bookmark the original and insert REF fields at the
required locations. Form fields are automatically assigned to bookmarks as
part of the field property. In the case of forms also check the property -
calculate on exit, to ensure the REF fields are updated.

Thank you Graham. By the way, yesterday I visited your web site. Very
excellent! Enjoyed the pictures. So then I visited (at your recommendation)
the web site of your friend in Florida (retired submariner - whose name I
don't recalled.) He has great pictures of submarines and polar bears. Fun
time surfing.   Thanks for the info.   Scott in Austin MN

Greg is not retired. He is a naval officer.

I have been doing this to create divorce forms in my law office for over 10
years now.  The solution I use is to type the data into the Access database,
and then create a standard form merge document for each pleading I wish to
create.
