This occurs when I merge my access data to a word
document.  For dates, if the day and month are less than
or equal to 12 then they are reversed.  eg sixth of may
becomes the fifth of june.  Any ideas?

Hi Kevin,

See the "Dates: day/month reversed" item under the "Mail merge in Word 2002"
heading of fellow MVP Cindy Meister's website at

http://homepage.swissonline.ch/cindymeister/MergFram.htm

Please post any further questions or followup to the newsgroups for the
benefit of others who may be interested.  Unsolicited questions forwarded
directly to me will only be answered on a paid consulting basis.

Hope this helps
