Why would MS Word print the first 1-x pages, then skip many and then print
133-230 of a 230 page file.  This file was generated from a mail merge and
saved to a new file name.

Various people have mentioned similar problems before, but I don't think
anyone has managed to pinpoint the source of the problem.

Does this happen whatever printer you choose? It would obviously be
difficult to test, but for example, if you have Word 2003 you could test
outputting to the Microsoft Office Document Image Writer, or if you have the
full pay-for version of Acrobat, you could test outputting to that, probably
quite quickly and without wasting loads of paper etc.
