MS Office Forum / Word / Mailmerge and Fax / April 2005Why won't my data source open when making labels?
It's an excel spreadsheet. The error message reads "Word was unable to find the data source requested" Help!! Which version of Word? If you create a new Excel data source and connect to that, do you see the same problem? Is your Excel spreadsheet already open, e.g. either in Excel itself, or because it is a data source in another merge document (or template) you have open. Peter Jamieson > It's an excel spreadsheet.
