How do I revert the mail merge function in Word XP to older versio

I find the Word XP mail merge Wizard difficult to work with. I thought I had
stored the mail merge helper but it's gone again and I don't remember how I
did it before. Help, please?

try

Word Tools|Customize, select Category "All Commands",find MailMerge|Helper
in the list of commands and drag it to a toolbar or menu.
