Hi,

I've got an Excel 2003 spreadsheet with some data formatted to 1
decimal place, e.g. 10.5

I've also got a Word 2003 mail merge document which used the 1 dp
formatted data in that spreadsheet.

After mail merging , I get floating point errors like
10.500000000000000000001% or
10.499999999999999999999%

Is there anything I can do? I have all of the latest updates to Office
2003 and my O/S (Windows 2000 SP4)

Thanks

Bill

This is normal and attributable to the way Word connects to Excel data - see

normal? er, OK... I love Microsoft's "Design Features".

thanks for the link Graham, those toggle switches ("\# 0.0" for my
particular issue) on the end of the merge field seem to have done the
trick :)

much obliged to you, sir.

Bill
