I am merging an data from excel into word label format. The contact field
from the previous record is duplicated in the next label if that label has
not contact information. Exampe - President is the contact field for one
label and then it is printed on the next label even though that field is
blank for that particular record. How do I prevent this from happening?

This shouldn't happen if the merge is set up correctly - see

In the mailmerge main document, do you have a <<NextRecord>> field before
the first mergefield in all of the labels except the first?
If you are using the Address Block, don't. Just insert the mergefields that
you require in the configuration that you want.
