How to create a data file with addresses to merge form letter docu

I'm trying to create a data file of addresses so I can then merge this file
into a form letter. This letter will include the name and address information
from this data file. I'm using Microsoft Word 2002 Office.

I'm unable to find how to create this data file. Can someone help me? Also,
how can I create the label file to print up mailing labels.

And for the labels themselves - see

have Office, why not save your addresses as a contacts list in Outlook then
