I would like to send a birthday message to each of our employees on
their birthday. Our Access database has a field for birthday, First
name, Last Name and email address. I created a query in Access to find
the people with birthdays today and used that for the data source for
the email merge. It works fine. What I need to do is automate it so it
will check the source in access every day and merge it to email. Is
there a way to do this. Maybe a macre that I could run with Windows
scheduler? i am using Word 2003 on Windows XP.

Hi Benmat,
Just to provide a bit more info; my OctoTools software as a pretty
sophisticated mail merge capability (OctoTools is used to provide automated
PDF conversion, report output enhancement -prnt & electronic, email, and
document distribution). Because of its design to process and output
automatically, it would be able to access your database (either Access or
MySQL) and then process where it can compare birth date and then output an
email message & birthday card (personalized from the database)
automatically. Let me know if you are interested, it is a commercial
software package designed to handle automated processing of meduim to high
throughputs. For additional information call me at 978 535-7676 and you can
also visit www.octotools.com . Thanks for your time.
