I just created an invitaton using a downloaded template. I am not sure now how to get the addresses on the invitation. I guess I use mail merge but I am not sure how to do it with the template. It's a self-mailer and the address fields are not text boxes. Anyone know? It depends. Is ist a freely downloadable template? Could we look? What sort of address fields are in the document? Or maybe you are asked to fill the data in using a "userform" (i.e. looks like a typical Windows dialog box)? It sounds as if you are familiar with mailmerge, so I'd suggest that if you just want to use the template as a starting point for a mailmerge, you consider a. copying text/graphics into a new document over which you have more control b. attaching to a data source in the usual way c. if necessary, creating your own text boxes/frames for address insertion How are you going to send the invitations (paper, e-mail (if so, what format),...?) I'm not real familar with mail merge, I have used it on occasion and had it work. This particular template though has me stumped. Do you see anything more if you go to Word Tools|Options|View and check Field Codes and text Boundaries? Which version of Word are you using (Wordhelp|About) Do you really just need to fill in one invitation at a time or do a mass mailing? > selfmailing invitation Sorry, do you mean that you click something and your invitation gets e-mailed? If so, in what format are you hoping it will reach the other end? Or are you printing invitations etc.? Or what?
