Mail merge individual spreadsheets?

I have an Excel workbook with 40 or so individual sheets pertaining to
different departments in our corporate group.  Each month I print these
sheets and fax them to the respective departments.  Is there a way I could
email these sheets using mail merge?  Perhaps as an object attachment? The
information on these spreadsheets is confidential so I only want those sheets
that apply to a particular department sent to that particular department.

See the article "Mail Merge to E-mail with Attachments" at

http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/MailMerge/MergeWithAttachments.htm

But you are going to need separate Excel files if you want to selectively
send the data.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the response.  I had been hoping I wouldn't have to save the
sheets as separate files.  Do you know if there is a macro that would allow
me to do this all at once without saving each sheet one by one?

Claud: That would take a bit of programming, and since it's Excel
worksheets, you'd be better off asking in the Excel programming group, I
think. :)

Hi,

There are software packages (such as my OctoTools) that can help do this,
but unless you have some significant volume, the cost is only justified if
you really, really really (three of 'em) want to do this.

Thanks for the feedback.  It will be easier doing going through this process
each month knowing there really isn't an easier way (unless I scrounge up an
intern).
