Larger mail merge

I am having a problem! I can mail merge some access databases
to word, but when I attempt to open the larger merges in word I receive
a message that says word cannot open document.

please help!!

What do you mean by larger merges?  The mailmerge main document or the
document created by executing the mailmerge?
