A friend has tried to merge her newsletter addresses (in Excel) to her
newletter (in Word) several times.   She has finally gotten it right, but on
her Menu Bar, Tools has Mail Merge... 14 times.  Apparently it has
replicated each time she tried to work on the merge.  What would cause this
and how can she remove them?  She has Win 98SE and Word 2000 on a Gateway
desktop.  Thanks in advance.

Hi PKM,

This  problem is caused by the Works Add-in. There is more info at

WD2000: Works 2000 Adds Functionality to Word 2000:
http://support.microsoft.com?kbid=241758

To get rid of all of the extra entrieds, you will have to go into Word
Tools>Customize and drag all the unwanted
menu options off the menu.

Please post any further questions or followup to the newsgroups for the
benefit of others who may be interested.  Unsolicited questions forwarded
directly to me will only be answered on a paid consulting basis.

Hope this helps
