Hello all,

I want to create a word document that contains multiple records from my data
source.  I believe I need "NextIf."  Can anyone lend me a example?

Here's what I want to produce:

Smith & Sons
1234 Main St.
Etc.

Dear Sir / Madam,

Please provide tax forms for the following employees:

   John Smith
   David Ramon
   Caitlin Green
   Jessica Jones
   .
   .
   .

Thank-you for your attention to this matter.

Sincerely,
Doug Robbins - 25 Aug 2005 18:59 GMT
Word does not really have the ability to perform a "multiple items per
condition (=key field)" mailmerge.

See the "Multiple items per condition" item under the "Special merges"
section of fellow MVP Cindy Meister's website at

http://homepage.swissonline.ch/cindymeister/MergFram.htm

Or take a look at the following Knowledge Base Article

Thanks Doug.

Using the microsoft resource you suggested and
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=211303, I'm begining to make some headway
w/ my task.

The one problem I am having is that my original "source code" is
disappearing.  How can I retain my original handy work?

Not sure what you mean by "original "source code""  What are you doing when
it disappears?

First, I'm using Word 2002

1) tools; Letters and mailings;Mail Merge wizard, select directory and
"Next: Starting document"

2) Using current document and click on "Next: Select recipients"

3) Via browse, I select an excel spreadsheet and then "Next: Arrange your
directory"

4) using the syntax / source code from
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;302665, I'm
programming the example provided

5) Click on "Next: Preview your document" and then the finished document
appears.  From what I've found, I can't go backwards to make any corrections
/ enhancements

What happened to the coding that specified the {if {mergeseq}= "1" etc?

Don't fool with the Wizard.  From the View menu, select Toolbars and then
check the Mailmerge toolbar item.  You can do everything that you need to
with the buttons on the toolbar.
