Hi,

Im using word 2k on Windows 2kpro.  I have a WORD merge
file using ACCESS database over ODBC connection.  I've
found knowledge base articles 212323 and  251031 directly
related to my issue.  which seems to be ":The numbers
after the decimal point are added to the whole numbers."
or some thing simillar.

The only solution available to me in my situation is
article  251031 "Method 4: Use the Picture Formatting
Switch" for example "{mergefield number \# "$###,##0.00"}"

This method does not work with all numbers (values). Merge
data is incorrectly formated when it contains "0" in the
first three digits for example "145.60, 72.80, 820.15 or
410.07"

I've researched this heavily and Im at an end pass.  Any
help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you
Carlos Bueno

Hi Carlos,

In our experience, this problem usually comes from one of the
fields being formatted as data type CURRENCY. For "plain
numbers", this doesn't happen.

Take a look at the formatting information in my website's
mail merge FAQ. There's an example how you can set up an
expression in an ACCESS QUERY that preformats the information
to look exactly as you'd like to have it.

Cindy, you are a goddess! I was having currency
conversion issues in merging excel to word, and your DDE
solution worked like a charm.  Thank you, thank you!
