Word and Access97

I have an Access database as a source for merged documents
in Word. I cannot get Word to format the numbers with
commas and decimal places. This is what I have tried but
it doesn't work:
{MERGEFIELD TotalDue \@"#,##0.00"}
Any ideas?
Thank you all

Hi Sue,

Use \# instead of \@
