In Word 2000 or 97, the following fields used to work fine:

{if  {DOCVARIABLE X \ *MERGEFORMAT} <>"." (condition)

{QUOTE {DOCVARIABLE X \*MERGEFORMAT} \@ "dd/mm/yy" \*MERGEFORMAT} (show this
if true)

{DATE \@ "dd/mm/yy" \*MERGEFORMAT} (show this if False)
}

If the variable X is ".", the fields show the actual Date,
If X is different, the fields show X in "dd/mm/yy" format.

But in Word 2003 it simply show NOTHING when the condition is True...
Can someone help?

It works here in  Word 2003.  Have you updated the fields?

Yes... several times...
The fields show nothing when the Docvariable X is "."
When it is "01/05/05", it´s result is ok (01/05/05).

I´ll test the same .doc in other instalations of word 2003.
Perhaps it´s a problem with the version installed here...
