How do I insert sequential numbers..

I need to print up 300 tickets for a local fundraiser. There are four tickets
to a page.

The tickets have to be numbered from 001 to 300. How can I insert these
numbers into a specific spot on the tickets so they print like a mail merge?

All help deeply appreciated.
