Word mail merge does not currently accommodate html merges.
You cannot dictate how a recipient will view your message. Anyone at all
wary of wirus attack via e-mail will have Outlook configured to display
plain text, so will not see your page anyway.
Why don't you upload the web page to your web space and send the family
members a link to it? Then those that want to see it as intended can do so.

Graham--
Thanks for the info. I was afraid of this. I have placed hyperlinks in the
emails before but I found that it is not as efficient.
How are "spammers" able to get my email program to reach out and grab an
image from a website somewhere to be displayed as an image in the email
itself? That is, ultimately, what I wish to accomplish (not being a spammer
myself, I am not sure how this is accomplished).
Any thoughts on that? Is there a special software that is needed?
Thanks again! I look forward to hearing back from you!

Afraid this is way off topic for Microsoft Word. You need a more specialised
forum.
