I am using Word 97 SR-1 and importing 3 fields per label from Excel 97
Account, Route, Name

I can format each individual merge field using the font option but they do
not save.

{MERGEFIELD Account}    {MERGEFIELD Route}
{MERGEFIELD Name}

{Next Record}{MERGEFIELD Account}    {MERGEFIELD Route}
{MERGEFIELD Name}

How can set font formats for the various field to apply to the entire merge.

In other words I would like a different Font format for Account, different
for Route, and different for Name and then have it apply to every label in
the merge.

I have been able to get a font formatting to stick for {Account} on the
first Label for example but not any of the others.

Lost newbie.    I would be happy to read a URL or a previous post if someone
can point me in the correct direction.

Hi Lost Newbie,

Add a \CHARFORMAT switch to the fields and apply the formatting that you
want to the letter M of MERGEFIELD

Please post any further questions or followup to the newsgroups for the
benefit of others who may be interested.  Unsolicited questions forwarded
directly to me will only be answered on a paid consulting basis.

Hope this helps
