My company has a richo printer which has the ability to staple pages of
documents.
I have a 3 page document that needs to be sent to over 300 representatives.
We want to generate a 3 page letter for each rep and have those 3 pages
stapled together.  we have checked with Richo and they say the command must
come from the software (Microsoft Office) and that there are no comand
sequences to cause this action to take place,  Help... anyone?

Hi,

If this is an ongoing process or one that is run often (daily, weekly), then
you might want to consider an alternative mail-merge capable product,
OctoTools.  OctoTools is not aimed at the desktop or occaisional user, but
is designed for an automated process with medium to higher volulme
requirements.  If you are interested in this commercial software, please
give me a call (978) n535-7676 and I can further explain how OctoTools can
solve you problem.  It does support full funtionality of your windows
drivers so if stapling, duplex, tray select and other functions of your
Ricoh are support with a windows drive, OctoTools can conditional access and
control them as well.  In addition to print output, OctoTools includes
electronic output (PDF) and excel (csv) outputs for automatic e-mailing and
web posting.  OctoTools mail merge functions support input of RTF files
(from MS Word as example) graphics, images and of course field delimited
text.  I hope this is of help.
