I have just installed Word 2002 XP and have my merge
document all set to go but when I merge to email and use
html, nothing happens, there is no email in the outbox
(Outlook Express 6). If I select plain text formatting
there are outgoing emails for all selected records.
Do I need a different version of Outlook or...???

I am a new user in Office 2000 (linking information).
When I try a mail merge to e-mail using Outlook addresses,
the Word document is sent without any graphics or
pictures. Since you are in an advanced version, do you
know how I format my Word document to e-mail properly
showing pictures? Thanks.

Hi Retha,
Word XP is the first version of Word that allows you to email in HTML
format.
If you want to send the Word documents as attachments to an email merge, see
the article "Mail Merge to E-mail with Attachments" at
http://www.mvps.org/word/FAQs/MailMerge/MergeWithAttachments.htm
Please post any further questions or followup to the newsgroups for the
benefit of others who may be interested. Unsolicited questions forwarded
directly to me will only be answered on a paid consulting basis.
Hope this helps

If you want to use HTML format you have to have the full version of Outlook,
not just Outlook Express.
