Unwanted Dialog Box Prompts With Fields in Templates

I have a simple 3 page Word 2002 document that contains 4
locations with field codes. All are {FILLIN [Prompt]
\*MERGEFORMAT}.  One field is bookmarked so that I can use
a reference to print the same entered data in the header.
For each field, I right click with the mouse and get a
short menu from which I select to Update Field. A box pops
up and I see a previous entry to select or type over with
a new entry. It worked well until I tried to make a
template out of it. When I select the template I get 4 of
the update field pop up boxes (1 at a time) before the
template is displayed on the screen. After the template is
displayed it works okay. How do I eliminate the pop up
boxes before the template is displayed on the screen?
Thanks

Hi Brinton,

Use a userform instead, see the article "How to create a Userform" at:

http://www.mvps.org/word/FAQs/Userforms/CreateAUserForm.htm

Please post any further questions or followup to the newsgroups for the
benefit of others who may be interested.  Unsolicited questions forwarded
directly to me will only be answered on a paid consulting basis.

Hope this helps
