When I merge from a query, a memo field prints the text
OK for 3 lines then a series of question marks is
inserted. Can't solve this at all. Any help will be
appreciated.

Which version of Word?
What's the data source? If it's Access, in which version
was it created, originally? How many characters are "3
lines"? And is the set of question marks always the same
number of question marks? Or does it always match the
number of characters that are being replaced?

thanks for replying. Word and Access are latest versions.

"Latest version" meaning 2002 or 2003?
