When I open my letter to merge, it keeps getting hung up on waiting to accept DDE commands (from access). and then doesn't respond. Any help? Did this used to work (in this version of Office)? Have you checked whether the checkbox to allow DDE is activated in Tools/Options (can't remember which tab) in Access?
