When I am trying to merge to a new document a message comes up saying it
can't merge because no records are available or no fields match my query.  I
use this all the time and can't figure out what has changed for it not to
work.  Any help would be aprreciated

Ok, I'm feeling really stupid now.  I realised that I had inserted the line
"skip record if..." which cut out all but two of the records.  I keep
thinking that a field is a record.
