Troubleshoot mailmerge labels: only one name appears

After several years of successfully completing mail merges of labels,
something has happened. Now, only the first name/address shows up [and
prints out]. What's going on and what I can do to correct it?

Is this a Tablet PC? There are some known issues with this type of hardware.
