How do you set up a block style business letter?

How far down from the top do you put the date? How many lines down is the
address block? salutation? body of the letter? signature?

The position of the addressee information in a letter only really matters if
you are using Window envelopes and then you have to position it to fit the
envelope when the paper is folded. Otherwise you can lay it out as you want
to suit the size of font and the letterhead position.
