I am trying to create a catalog in Word 2003 using mail merge with data in an
Access databaase,  One of the fields in the Access database is value that is
derived from another table as a look-up.  Word inserts a value from the wrong
column in the look-up table.

I am not quite sure what you mean by a "look-up".  You can certainly however
use a Select Query in Access as a data source for a mail merge where you
have the data coming from mutliple tables that have links between them.

Hope this helps.
