Does anyone know why suddenly the length of merge fields
in Word 2000 and Word XP have become truncated? For
example a merge field that was prevoiusly

cd_listingsvendor_solicitor_address1

is now

cd_listingsvendor_solicitor_addr

it seems like there is a limit now on the length of long
merge fields, perhaps after installing an update/service
pack?

Any ideas?

Many thanks, - Andrew

Hi Andrew,

I've seen reports of this, occasionally. But I've never
been able to track it down to one particular origin. Is it
causing any specific problems for you?
