How do I remove a 'space' character from the start of my UK Postal codes in
mailmerge using Office XP? I created a new list of recipients. I changed the
words ZIP code to Postcode by renaming the field. Everything looks OK until I
merge the document. The UK Postcode looks like *BD2 2AH on the document and
it should look like BD2 2AH. The * is the space character.
Any advice would be welcome.

Where is the data coming from?
There are only two ways you can get a space here.
1. It's in the data.
2. You have inserted a space in front of the field.
However your earlier post seems to suggest you are using the AddressBlock
field. Don't! Use the individual fields. Incidentally it doesn't matter
whether the field is called Zip or PostCode. It's what it contains that is
important.

Hi Jenny,
You can't do that in the mailmerge document - you'll need to change the
source.
Cheers
