Word/Access XP : wrong date format in mail merge

Hello,

I have a word document. I'm in Belgium and date format in my Access
table is 03/10/2003 (for 3 oct 2003)

When I make mail merge, date is shown in the word document as
2003-10-03 00:00:00.

How can I set the date format of the mailmerge field, to the date be
shown correctly (03/10/2003) ?
